Mayor Bill Collins is announcing that in observance of the Presidents Day holiday, many City of Marion departments will be closed on Monday, February 19, 2024;  however, some departments will be operating on a normal schedule.  Following is information regarding office and departmental schedueld for Monday, February 19, 2024:

  • All offices in Marion City Hall will be closed.
  • Sanitation crews will collect garbage and recycling on Monday, February 19.  Residents with Monday sanitation collection are asked to have their trash and recycling at curbside by 7:00 a.m.
  • Marion Senior Center will be closed on Monday, February 19.  No senior transporation will be available that day except for dialysis appointments.
  • Marion Area Transit will be observing normal hours of operation on Monday, February 19.

Essential services including fire, police, and airport will operate as usual.

Mayor Bill Collins is announcing that all offices in Marion City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024 in observance of the Marion Luther King Jr. holiday.

The following departments for the City of Marion will operate as noted below on Monday, January 15, 2024:

  • Sanitation crews will collect garbage and recycling on Monday, January 15.  Residents who normally have refuse collected on Monday are requested to have their collections at curbside by 7:00 a.m.
     
  • Marion Area Transit will be open with bus service available on Monday, January 15, 2024.
     
  • Marion Senior Center will be open with transportation available on Monday, January 15.
