What is HEALTHY RHYTHMS? It’s group empowerment drumming. What is empowerment drumming? It’s a comprehensive whole – person, evidence – based program with a therapeutic approach, which unites our bodies, minds and spirits!
“Customarily people have interpreted good health as absence of illness or disease, but more recently wellness has a new meaning. The new interpretation of wellness is assuming responsibility for “feeling good and being well”. This results from engagement in activities that lead to and maintain health.” Alicia Clair Ph.D., MT – BC. What are the benefits of drumming? Exercise, nurturing, social support, bonding, stimulation, heightened understanding and enhancement our capacity to cope with life’s challenges. It is not surprising therefore that drumming, one of the oldest healing rituals, is now receiving heightened interest in the medical arena, group drumming boost elements of our body’s natural defense mechanisms.
