A locking drop box is located at the front of City Hall inside the double doors to your left. Cash payments are not to be placed in the drop box.  This drop box is for City of Marion Utility Billing customers ONLY and not for any other utility payments (i.e. water, gas or electric).

 


 

The Utility Billing Department is responsible for billing, collecting, and providing services for sewer, storm and sanitation.

 


NOTICE:

The City of Marion has become aware of a third-party online bill pay website (doxo.com) that has set-up pages listing a large number of cities/agencies/companies that they are accepting payments on behalf of.  The City of Marion has been placed on this list by Doxo, however DOXO IS NOT THE THIRD-PARTY BILL PAY VENDOR USED BY THE CITY OF MARIONThe City of Marion has no contract or affiliation with this company.

After checking, it appears that Doxo.com is a service that claims to help consumers manage billing statements/payments to various companies.  Payments being collected through the Doxo.com website are being made to Doxo NOT the City of Marion.  Furthermore, Doxo.com may charge customers extra fees and the City of Marion has no control over when (or if) payments made through the Doxo.com site will be received which could result in late payments being applied to city utility accounts.

As a reminder, the City offers the following options for making payments:
 
1.   Online Payments
  Submit payment through the third-party payment service provider approved by the City of Marion.  Link provided at https://www.marionohio.us/online-utility-payment.
   
2. Direct Payment (auto pay)
  Monthly bill amount electronically withdrawn from customer’s checking or savings account.  If interested, contact Utility Billing Department for additional information.
   
3. Mail Payment to:
  City of Marion, Utility Billing Department, 233 W. Center St., Marion, OH 43302
   
4. Pay In-Person
  Drop payment off at the Utility Billing Department located at City Hall.  Department Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
   
5. Drop Box
  A locking drop box is located at the front of City Hall inside the double doors to your left as you are entering the building. Cash payments are not to be placed in the drop box.
   
6. Pay by Phone
  Credit and debit card payments are accepted over the phone.  However, all credit and debit card transactions will incur an additional $3.00 fee.

            


 

Utility Payment Assistance

Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission may be able assist residents with their sewer and sanitation payment.  Call 740-383-2154 ext. 529 for additional details and information.

 


 

Pay & View Utility Bills Online

Pay Utility Bills by Credit Card or Bank Draft

City of Marion customers can now pay their utility bills by credit card draft or bank draft. Sign up for Bank draft by stopping in the office. Credit Card payments may be made over the phone and in the office, there is a $3.00 fee to process this payment.

 


 

Utility Billing Forms

Direct Payment Sign-Up Form - Form authorizing City of Marion to instruct customers financial instution to make payments from approved account.

Occupancy Registration Form - Required information for all new account set-ups.

Request for Change of Service - Form to request changes in service by a property owner for landlord/tenant billing purposes.

A Senior and Disabled Person Sanitation Discount Request Form is available from the Utility Billing Department. Call or stop in to request a copy of this form.

 

Miscellaneous Information

A Temporary Suspension of Sanitation Services Policy was introduced for service interruption of properties that are unoccupied for a minimum of three (3) consecutive calendar months.  A form requesting the suspension of service must be completed and submitted to the Utility Billing Department 30 days in advance.
