The Administration for the City of Marion is announcing that The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is currently working on State Route 95 (Mount Vernon Avenue), which is part of an Urban Resurfacing Project.  ODOT’s Urban Resurfacing Project resurfaces state routes through a city.  This particular project will also involve minor curb replacement in specific locations as the project is completed.

While work has begun on State Route 95 on the east side of the Marion, additional portions of State Route 95 will also be paved this year.  Center Street between Vine Street and Park Boulevard, as well as Blaine Avenue between Columbia Street and West Church Street will be included in work completed by ODOT.

While this project is currently affecting traffic on the eastern side of the City, it will not impact the upcoming Popcorn Festival.
