Utility Billing Department to be Closed to the Public Effective November 30

Mayor Scott Schertzer is announcing that the Utility Billing Department will be closed to the public beginning Monday, November 30, 2020 for an extended period due to multiple employees being out of the office due to quarantine requirements resulting from positive COVID-19 tests or exposure to an individual with COVID-19.  This closure is being put in place to protect the remaining staff members of this department.

When notice was received of the positive COVID-19 test result, the affected areas of City Hall were disinfected following established protocols.

Options for making payments while the department is closed are:

  • Make payments online (https://www.marionohio.us/online-utility-payment),
  • Send payment through U.S. Postal Service
  • Automatic bank draft (contact Utility Billing Department for additional information), or
  • Place payment in the locking drop box between the two front doors of City Hall.
