The Utility Billing Department is responsible for billing, collecting, and providing services for sewer, storm and sanitation.
A locking drop box is located at the front of City Hall inside the double doors to your left. Cash payments are not to be placed in the drop box, but should be paid in the utility billing office to receive a receipt. This drop box is for City of Marion Utility Billing customers only and not for Ohio American Water bill payments.
The following notice will appear on all billing statements processed in the months of July and August 2015:
|NOTICE: DELINQUENT SANITARY AND STORM SEWER CHARGES WILL BE ASSESSED ON YOUR 2016 PROPERTY TAXES. PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO PAY THESE CHARGES BY SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2015.|
Information appearing on monthly statements will serve as notice in lieu of separate letters mailed with identical information. Affected accounts must be paid by September 1, 2015 to avoid delinquent sanitary sewer and storm sewer charges being certified and forwarded to the Marion County Auditor’s Office for assessment to property tax records.
City of Marion customers can now pay their utility bills by credit card draft or bank draft. Sign up for Bank draft by stopping in the office. Credit Card payments may be made over the phone and in the office, there is a $3.00 fee to process this payment.
