Flu and Pneumonia Shots
On Wednesday, October 12th from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. the Marion Public Health Department is offering a regular flu vaccine and a high dose flu vaccine (specifically for people 65 or older) along with a Pneumonia vaccine clinic at the Marion Senior Center. Flu shots should be $24.50 and the new high dose should be around $38 – $40. Pneumonia shot price is not available at this time.  Once you reach the age of 65, the pneumonia shot is given only once. The difference between the two flu vaccines is that one has 4 times the amount of antigen, which helps to protect those 65 or older. Please call or signup at the transportation desk by October 7th to register for the shots.  Residents outside of Marion County will still be charged $5.00 additional. Be sure to specify which shots you want when you register.
You must bring your Medicare Card with you!
We hope everyone stays healthy this winter!
