Aquatic Center Weather & Outside Food/Beverage Policy ...

Weather Policy
The safety of our patrons is of the utmost importance.  Therefore at the discretion of the Pool Manager, if warranted, the aquatics center will close for weather related issues.

  • Lightning - In the event of an electrical storm, the pool deck must be cleared and guests will need to exit the facility for at least 30 minutes.  The 30 minute time period will re-start after every lightning strike and/or rumble of thunder.

  • Severe Weather - In case of severe weather conditions, the City of Marion Parks and Aquatics Department reserves the right to limit the use or close swimming facilities to ensure the safety of our patrons.

  • Cold Weather - If the projected high temperature for the day is below 70 degrees, the City of Marion Parks and Aquatics Department reserves the right to limit the use or close facilities.

Outside Food, Beverages, and Chewing Gum
Outside food, beverages and chewing gum are not permitted inside the aquatics center facility, with the exception of baby food/drinks and water.  A full service concession stand is available for food and drinks. Guests may bring a washable personal water bottle (staff may ask to examine contents).  Guests may exit the Aquatic Center to picnic within Lincoln Park and re-enter with a stamp.  LPAC reserves the right to search one’s property upon entrance to the facility.
