2017-14 Approp. Ord. Sup/Quartermaster for Fire Dept.

 

ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF INSURANCE MONEY INTO THE SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS AND QUARTERMASTER LINE ITEMS TO PURCHASE ITEMS FOR USE AT THE MARION FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, there is an immediate need for the appropriations of money from Insurance money paid into Fire Department Supplies and Materials and Quartermaster Line Items.

          BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:

          Section 1.  That the amount of $4,315.00 be appropriated into the Supplies and Materials Line item for the Fire Department Fund Account No. 270.1002.5502 from the Insurance Money received from the destruction of equipment at a fire at Grant Middle School.

          Section 2.  That the amount of $2,250.00 be appropriated into the Quartermaster Line item for the Fire Department Fund Account No. 270.1002.5104 from the Insurance Money received from the destruction of our fire gear at a fire at Grant Middle School.

          Section 3.  That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the welfare and safety of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof and for the further reason that it is necessary for the daily operation of the City; and as such, shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council; otherwise, it shall become effective from and after earliest period allowed by law.
