2017-09 Contract to purchase Lime for WPCP
ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF LIME TO BE UTILIZED AT THE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2016-77 authorized the Public Works Director to prepare specifications and advertise for bids or High Calcium Quick Lime for the Division of Water Pollution Control.
WHEREAS, Mississippi Lime, Inc. submitted the lowest and best bid for the Quicklime @ $130.41/ton.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Ohio; Marion
County, Ohio;
Section 1. That the Public Works Director be authorized and is hereby directed to enter into contract with Mississippi Lime, Inc. @ $130.41/ton, who submitted the lowest and best bid in response to Water Pollution Control’s letting process for the purchase of lime.
Section 2. The Mississippi Lime contract shall be payable from the Sewer Revenue Fund line item (502.5003.5502).
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
