2016-21 Advance Funds to Airport Improvement Fund

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY AUDITOR TO ADVANCE FUNDS TO AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT FUND AT THE MARION MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, That City of Marion will apply for FAA Grant known as AIP 3-39-0050-025-2017, Project 25 in 2017 totaling $77,400.00.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Council of the City of Marion, Marion, County, Ohio:

          Section 1.     That City Auditor is authorized to advance and appropriate funds in the amount of $10,000.00 from the General Fund 101.1024.5426.07 to Airport Improvement Fund 408.4007.4802 for FAA Grant AIP 3-39-0050-025-2017, Project 25. The FAA required preliminary new and old Airport Terminal Building studies to be complete in 2016 by Airport Engineering Consultant, Don Yager of GA Consultants, before Terminal Building would be considered in 2017 Architectural Work and Construction in 2018. This amount will be reimbursed from the FAA in 2017.

          Section 2.     The FAA approximate 60% share will be $45,107.00, State 5% share $2,506.00 and Marion City approximate 35% share will be $29,787.00.

Section 3.     This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
