ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SERVICE DIRECTOR COMPLETE AN RFP AS TO THE CITY’S NEED TO HAVE A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGN EVALUATION COMPLETED AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

 

 

WHEREAS, the Administration will be conducting an RFP process to find the best provider available to have a traffic control sign evaluation completed in the City of Marion, and

 

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Ohio: Marion County,

 

Section 1.     The Service Director is authorized to prepare a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purpose of identifying the best available professional engineer in regard to provide services for a traffic control sign evaluation in the City of Marion. The Council finding the endeavor to be a desired and beneficial undertaking it does hereby authorize the Service Director or his designee(s) complete all necessary steps, agreements, processes, including, but not limited to compilation of an RFP and related documents, processes and items related to the traffic control sign evaluation. 

 

Section 2:     That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the welfare of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof; and since the City needs to be in compliance with current laws; and as such, shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the mayor, provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council: otherwise it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
