ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A REVOLVING LOAN ADMINISTRATION AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF OHIO, DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, The State of Ohio Department of Development has requested as a part of the CDBG Revolving Loan Fund, the current three year Administration Agreement which expired December 31, 2014 to be extended another three years through December 31, 2017; and

 

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:

 

          Section 1.     That the Mayor is authorized to enter into said Administration Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A.

 

          Section 2.     That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the welfare of the City of Marion and its’ inhabitants thereof and for the further reason that said agreement must be executed prior to April 9, 2015 but the Department of Development only came out with the final approved form March 9, 2015 and as such shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, otherwise it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
