The City of Marion will sponsor a Community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 14, 2016 that is free for city residents.

Any City of Marion resident, currently on City Sanitation Service, wishing to dispose of unwanted items may do so by taking those items directly to the Marion County Solid Waste Transfer Station located at 1564 Victory Road, (directly east of the Marion Correctional Institute).  Proof of current city sanitation service will be required.

Hours of operation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

          Please note:  Yard Waste, Appliances, Tires, Regular Garbage, or Hazardous Materials will NOT be accepted.

     Street:  Chestnut St. between Leader St. and Oak St.

     Closure Start Date:  Wednesday, May 4 - 7:00 am

     Closure End Date:  Wednesday, May 18 - 5:00 pm

A contractor working for Columbia Gas will be working at this location.

     Street:  Pearl St. between S. Prospect St. and Bellefontaine Ave.

     Closure Start Date:  Monday, April 25 - 7:00 am

     Closure End Date:  Friday, April 29 - 5:00 pm

The City Sewer Maintenance Department will be doing repair work at this location.
