ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SERVICE DIRECTOR TO PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR STREET PATCHING ALONG VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF MARION AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, there are several streets in Marion City that are in dire need of patch work.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:
Section 1. That the Service Director is hereby authorized and directed
to prepare plans and specifications, and advertise for bids for street patching in certain areas on N. State; W. Center; Church St; Mt. Vernon; and S. Prospect Streets.
Section 2. That said contract shall be payable from the SCMR Fund 202.2006.5424.
Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the welfare of the City of Marion and its’ inhabitants thereof: Due to the real and present need to move forward without delay to fix the damaged streets; and as such shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its’ passage and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, otherwise it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
