ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SERVICE DIRECTOR TO PREPARE SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SNOW REMOVAL SERVICES AT THE MARION MUNICIPAL AIRPORT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:
Section 1. That the Service Director be authorized and is hereby directed to prepare specifications and advertise for bids for snow removal services at the Marion Municipal Airport. Current contract will expire on September 30, 2013.
Section 2. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of health, welfare and safety of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof and that the current contract will expire on September 30, 2013; and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council; otherwise, it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
