RESOLUTION TO ADOPT AN ANTI-DISPLACEMENT AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN IN CONFORMITY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the City of Marion intends to apply for funds from the State of Ohio CDBG Small Cities Program, and
WHEREAS, as part of such application(s) the City of Marion shall have evidence of legislation placing in effect a Residential Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan under Section 104(d) of the Housing and Community Act of 1974, as amended.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio,
Section 1. That this Council hereby adopts the attached Anti-Displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan.
Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, welfare and safety of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof and for further reason to confirm with the grant application which must be filled immediately in order to be eligible for consideration and as such shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council; otherwise, it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
