ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE FEDERAL GRANT FUND PAID BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION FOR THE AMENDED COST OF BASE SOIL THAT WAS NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A TAXIWAY AT THE MARION MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
WHEREAS, The City of Marion has been awarded $300,044.00 FAA Grant known as Project 20.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion, County, Ohio:
Section 1. That the City Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to appropriate funds in the amount of $36,125.43 from Federal Grant Airport Improvement Fund 408.4007.4420 to Airport Improvement – Construction Fund 408.4007.5443 to pay for taxiway construction amended contract for extra base soil that was needed for construction at the Marion Municipal Airport.
Section 2. That it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the adoption of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Section 3 That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the health, welfare and safety of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof, and such transaction has been already completed; and as such shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council; otherwise, it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
