ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE AUDITOR TO CAUSE FUNDS RECEIVED FROM VARIOUS FUNDING ENTITIES TO PASS THROUGH THE GENERAL FUND AND BE PLACED/
APPROPRIATED TO THE SALARY AND BENEFITS OF THE APPROPRIATE POLICE DEPARTMENT LINE ITEM FOR THIS FISCAL YEAR
WHEREAS, the Administration, has worked diligently to recover or seek reimbursables from various entities and herein the Council finds it to be in the best interests of the citizens to all pass through of reimbursables.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:
SECTION 1. The Auditor is authorized and directed to complete the following acts, the total pass through amount being $41,457.89:
A. Appropriate from the General Fund all monies received from the Marion City Schools representing the payments received, 24,677.64, to the City's General Fund from the Marion City Schools pursuant to the agreement related to the provision of a School Resource Officer for the year 2012 to the appropriate line item within the Division of Police Department's salary and benefit line item.
B. Appropriate payments received from the approved drug grant being $ 2,647.13 from the State of Ohio and the overtime drug detail completed recently to the appropriate line item within the Division of Police Department's salary and benefit line item.
C. Appropriate payments received from the Popcorn Festival Committee expected to be $ 6,000.00 pursuant the existing agreement providing for reimbursables to the appropriate line item within the Division of Police Department's salary and benefit line item.
D. Transfer from the General Fund the $5,649.37 check received November of 2010 to the Law Enforcement Trust account
E. Appropriate payments received from Ohio High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program in the amount of $2,483.75 for Shield Detail Overtime reimbursement.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
