ROLL CALL – 9 members answered – Mr. Cumston, Mr. Ratliff, Mrs. Blevins, Mr. Smith, Dr. Gilsdorf, Mr. Hines, Mrs. Gustin, Mr. Schaber; Mrs. Blevins moved to excuse Mr. Thomas, Mr. Cumston seconding. By a voice vote all members voted in approval to excuse Mr. Thomas.

1. Pastor Jackie Person of Logos Ministries – a drawing for a 3 minute Thanksgiving shopping spree at Community Market.
2. Marion Housing Continuum of Care Committee to spoke on Homelessness Awareness Week.
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF MARION, BY REZONING LOTS 2195, 2196, 2197, AND 2198 LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SHARP AND BENNETT STREET FROM AN R-1C SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT TO AN I-1, LIMITED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (Applicant, Craig Willis)
Mr. Smith noted that this came out of Zoning & Annexation with a 3-0 recommendation for approval, I’m asking for a 2nd reading this evening with a Public Hearing held on November 28, 2011.

Dr. Gilsdorf congratulated the Mayor for winning the election and wished him and all the people of Marion luck in the future.
Mrs. Jeannie Brewer spoke on the update of the Aquatic Center. Spoke on the season passes that will be available after thanksgiving. She spoke about the sponsorships.
Mayor Schertzer spoke about the leaves in the gutter, please keep them off the gutter, and keep them in the tree lawn. He also spoke on United Health Care is probably our best option. We asked for the Health committee to vote on it, 5 of the 7 would go with it. It is the very first time for the City of Marion with co-pays. Thank you for the Police Dept and the Fire Dept. Mrs. Gustin asked what 2 didn’t vote for it. Mayor Schertzer said we are still in negotiations and would rather not say at this time. Mayor Schertzer said the dollar amount in savings is about ¼ million dollars.
Mr. Hines asked about Silver St. – when will it get done. Mr. Jay Shoup said he will get back with you tomorrow morning with that information.
