ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SAFETY DIRECTOR, WORKING WITH MARION COUNTY, TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FLOYD BROWNE GROUP FOR DESIGN SERVICES AND COST ESTIMATES RELATEDED TO DEVELOPMENT OF ACCESS AT SAWYER LUDWIG PARK, UTILIZING 2010 CDBG GRANT FUNDING, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY


WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2010-47 authorized the Safety Director to accept and administer the 2010 CDBG grant, and

WHEREAS, the 2010 Formula grant allocated $10,000 for Planning for a Transportation Plan for Sawyer Ludwig Park Access Study Phase 2 and

WHEREAS, the Floyd Browne Group offers a full package of site development services including Landscape, Architecture, Engineering, Surveying, Land Planning Environmental and Transportation services, and

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Marion, Marion County, Ohio:

Section 1. In conjunction with Marion County, the Safety Director be directed to enter in contract with the Floyd Browne Group for an amount not to exceed $8,000 for Sawyer Ludwig Phase 2

Section 2. That said contract shall be payable from the Community Development Block Grant FY 2010 Formula Grant

Section 3. That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the welfare of the City of Marion and the inhabitants thereof: and as such, shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the mayor, provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council: otherwise it shall become effective from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
