Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Closures Announced for City Departments

City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.  However, some City departments will operate on a regular or modified schedule for the day.  The following departments will operate as follows:

• Sanitation crews will collect garbage and recycling on Monday, January 16^th.  Customers who normally have refuse collected on Monday are requested to have their collections at curbside by 7:00 a.m.
• Marion Area Transit will observe normal business hours.
• The Recreation Center will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for youth ages 18 and under.
• MarionSenior Centerwill be closed.

Essential services including fire, police, and airport will operate as usual.
